Job Summary
The
Head of Marketing, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability will leads a combined
portfolio that establishes MCL’s market presence, visibility and influence,
grows our institutional and product brand equity and affinity, manages MCL’s relationship
with the public, government, shareholders, and employees, and ensures the
organization adapts sustainable practices across all operational levels. The
incumbent leads marketing and research professionals whose sole mandate is to
ensure MCL puts forward its best foot, whether that is through exceptional
product positioning via above the line campaigning, positive goodwill through
‘green’ initiatives or corporate outreach (CSR initiatives). They will ensure
MCL is up to date with marketing & sustainability research and intelligence
to facilitate data-driven decision making, and has access to facilitators who
can help our business scale, with the ultimate goal of delivering value for MCL
stakeholders and shareholders.
Full Job Description
- Develop
and implement the company’s annual strategic marketing, corporate affairs
and sustainability plans and manages implementation in a timely and cost
effective manner.
- Develop and execute MCL’s approach to corporate affairs to
positively position our institution on key emerging issues, as the focal
person for public engagement.
- Manage
development and deployment of internal and external communications, and
any public engagements to or from MCL (with stakeholders and partners).
- Develops
strong brands, targeting identified marketing and consumer needs in order
to expand the market and increase the company’s share of market in the
various systems segments.
- Develops and
implements strong marketing programs to ensure all revenue generating
functions meet their targets and grow.
- Coordinates
the continuous gathering of information and feedback from customers, the
trade and market place (through market analyses and market research) to
guide tactics and strategy.
- Develop
and implement a long-term sustainability strategy aligned with MCL’s
values and business objectives, and keep MCL sustainability policies
current in alignment with industry standards.
- Recommend
and champion sustainability programs that augment MCL’s business (e.g.
green initiatives to reduce the use of paper & consumables).
- Cultivate
commercial and non-commercial partnerships to deliver sustainability,
corporate affairs and marketing initiatives.
- Promote a
culture of sustainability within MCL, training employees on sustainable
practices and encouraging green initiative, working with HR and other
departments.
- Prepare
regular sustainability reports for executive leadership and stakeholders,
showcasing progress, insights, and recommendations.
- Identify
and implement best practices in sustainable media production, resource
management, and digital content distribution.
- Develops
and implements a standard brand communication approach, common to all the
products in the areas of brand image, merchandising, and promotional
activities.
- Develops,
manages and coordinates all the Company’s customer care, and promotional
standards, procedures and activities.
- Prepares
and controls the approved company’s marketing, corporate affairs &
sustainability budget, and any other duties as required by the role.
